  • Hi, and welcome to Laurie Jean & Rose. My name is Lauren, and I have been photographing newborns since 2010 in the NW Atlanta area and all over! My love affair with newborn photography began shortly after the birth of my youngest son, when I missed the window for my son’s sleepy newborn photos due to my photographer canceling on me at the last minute. Unfortunately I didn’t get any sleepy posed shots of him, but so began my interest and love for newborn photography.

    I am completely self-taught, and have photographed over 1,000 newborns over the last near decade. My goal is that you find our session an enjoyable experience, are completely relaxed, and love your newborn photos for many years to come. I prefer to focus on timeless images with simple props vs. the latest gimmick. 80’s clothes and hair, anyone? Okay, that era was actually pretty awesome, but let’s keep the baby photos fresh.

Madelyn Sneak Peek {Atlanta Decatur Newborn Photographer}

SERIOUSLY? I just adored this baby and her precious little dimple and the THREE smiles she gave me :) <3

She was a big girl, 8 lbs 12 oz of chunk. There’s nothing like a chunky baby. I love them so much! All the rolls and just how they’re so filled out makes for the squishiest cheeks, and who doesn’t love squishy baby cheeks?

Madelyn’s mom actually came across my site, sent a pricing inquiry, and then after communicating with me realized I had photographed her co-worker’s baby, who had great things to say about me (that’s always so flattering, right!), and so she booked me right away. I love referrals more than anything else, and I do reward my clients for their loyalty!

I can’t wait to see Madelyn again!

Owen Sneak Peek {Alpharetta Newborn Atlanta Photographer}

Little Owen is the baby brother of one of my very first newborns, Miss Hannah. Years ago, I posted an ad on Craigslist looking for newborns to photograph for free so that I could get some experience. Hannah’s mom answered my ad, and we ended up doing her maternity photos first, followed by her newborn. After we did her newborn photos, they paid me to continue photographing her, and we became good friends.

I was really excited to meet Mr. Owen, and his name is my middle son’s middle name, so that’s an added perk! :)

Rhett 6 Months Sneak Peek {Roswell Baby Atlanta Photographer}

I was so happy to see Rhett back for 6 months photos! He looks SO different to me now, though! Ahh! He doesn’t look like the same baby to me, aside from the hair color, of course.

Rhett is THE happiest, smiliest little baby boy. He is so sweet! Including some of his old newborn photos and one from his mom’s maternity session! I’ve photographed him since he was in his mommy’s tummy. Don’t they all look like models for a Ralph Lauren ad? Geez! Great genes there :)

So happy I got to see him, and I can’t wait to have him back for his 1-year photos!

Triplets Sneak Peek {Decatur Atlanta Newborn Photographer}

I just simply don’t have enough time to explain the cuteness of these little babies! Their mom went with a pink, purple, and blue color scheme as they each have special crochet blankets in those colors. Cute!

I did their mom’s maternity photos in early fall, and I was so excited to finally meet them! They were born at 35 weeks, which is pretty amazing for triplets. Mom was giving me a panic attack telling me they weren’t sleepy babies and were rather alert, so I was sweating and fairly anxious over the session, but they couldn’t have been better behaved. Considering there are 3 of them and we got a full newborn session with each baby (aside from froggy pose, which probably would have prevented getting the shot of them all together).

How perfect are these babies?! I’m honored that I got to photograph them. While doing another maternity shoot a month or so later with another mom, we realized that the mom of the triplets and she are neighbors. How awesome! That baby will be born soon. They’re all going to be great friends, I’m sure! :)

Piper Sneak Peek {Atlanta Newborn Marietta Baby Photographer}

Piper was SO good :) I am seriously loving all these full heads of dark hair lately!

Piper’s parents were pretty laid back with what they wanted for their photoshoot, so I pretty much got to choose everything myself. I love the soft pink with her … so pretty.

I think that she is my first newborn I’ve had named Piper. If not, then she’s only the second.

I hope to see Piper again soon. Such a beauty!
