  • Hi, and welcome to Laurie Jean & Rose. My name is Lauren, and I have been photographing newborns since 2010 in the NW Atlanta area and all over! My love affair with newborn photography began shortly after the birth of my youngest son, when I missed the window for my son’s sleepy newborn photos due to my photographer canceling on me at the last minute. Unfortunately I didn’t get any sleepy posed shots of him, but so began my interest and love for newborn photography.

    I am completely self-taught, and have photographed over 1,000 newborns over the last near decade. My goal is that you find our session an enjoyable experience, are completely relaxed, and love your newborn photos for many years to come. I prefer to focus on timeless images with simple props vs. the latest gimmick. 80’s clothes and hair, anyone? Okay, that era was actually pretty awesome, but let’s keep the baby photos fresh.

Zara Juliette {Atlanta Newborn Photographer Roswell Baby Photography}

Little Zara Julietta was beautiful and SO good for me. She was a little dream baby to photograph! I am behind on blogging due to SO many newborn sessions and family sessions lately with the holiday season. She was photographed the day before Halloween. :) Isn’t the little pumpkin photo adorable?!

She was so good during her newborn session. She really didn’t make a peep! I am meeting back up with her family later in the month for a family session as they couldn’t make it work during the newborn session to get pix with her sibling.

Love this baby!

Vivi Sneak Peek {Atlanta Children’s Photographer}

Vivi’s mom booked her session quite some time ago, and I was so happy I finally got to meet this little girl! She is BEAUTIFUL and has amazing hair, too, courtesy of her mother! :)

I must say that Vivi is a character, and I got SO many wonderful shots of her. I was very pleased with her session. I totally would have taken her home with me! She’s only 2 and is so smart and fun! This is probably one of my favorite family sessions I’ve ever done, because she just had so much personality and gave me so many different expressions. This little girl should model or act, for sure! I couldn’t help but smile while editing her photos. I hope to see her again in the future!

Mohan Family Sneak Peek {Roswell Atlanta Family Photographer}

This family was so adorable! We originally met for a session previous to this, and unfortunately with the time change the session was messed up. I use a chart to refer to sunrise and sunset times (my preferred shooting times), and the chart did not account for the time change, which was one day after the change, so we rescheduled, but they were glad that we did as the leaves weren’t great at Piedmont Park.

Zoe is so precious, but she wasn’t feeling her best. We still got some great shots, though, and the light was gorgeous! I love that last shot of her crying. Sometimes the sad shots are my favorite. I’m a sucker for raw emotion :)

I can’t wait to see Zoe and her cute family again!

Garrison’s Christmas Sneak Peek {Atlanta Baby Marietta Photographer}

Do y’all remember Garrison? Sweet baby boy! At his newborn session, his mom and I had a good laugh about his hair at the time, because he had seemed to rub most of the top of his hair off in the womb (lol!), but it grew in! :)

His mom brought Garrison for his Christmas mini shoot, and I love the way they turned out! He is such a happy, cute baby!

Byrd Family Sneak Peek {Atlanta Family Photographer}

Do y’all remember little Cooper? His family scheduled a 100-Day session of Cooper, which really turned into a fall family session since he is so little and they don’t do much at 3 months. Don’t you just love their outfits? I am in love with Mom’s skirt! So modern and fun!

It was a beautiful day during their family session! They all look great, and Cooper is so sweet. :) Hope to see little Cooper again! :)
