Laurie Jean & Rose bio picture
  • Hi, and welcome to Laurie Jean & Rose. My name is Lauren, and I have been photographing newborns since 2010 in the NW Atlanta area and all over! My love affair with newborn photography began shortly after the birth of my youngest son, when I missed the window for my son’s sleepy newborn photos due to my photographer canceling on me at the last minute. Unfortunately I didn’t get any sleepy posed shots of him, but so began my interest and love for newborn photography.

    I am completely self-taught, and have photographed over 1,000 newborns over the last near decade. My goal is that you find our session an enjoyable experience, are completely relaxed, and love your newborn photos for many years to come. I prefer to focus on timeless images with simple props vs. the latest gimmick. 80’s clothes and hair, anyone? Okay, that era was actually pretty awesome, but let’s keep the baby photos fresh.

    Hope to hear from you!

    xoxo Lauren

Cooper Sneak Peek {Roswell Atlanta Newborn Photographer}

Little Cooper’s mom requested gray and mint, so I made the little hat and pants! I think they turned out so cute! I love his squishy cheeks, and I LOVE that mom/baby shot :) I am a sucker for mom/baby shots.

Cooper was SUCH a little challenge, however. It took us forever to get him to sleep. To be fair, we started the session at 5pm, which is NOT when I normally do sessions, but due to some issues on mom and dad’s end, that was our only option. So maybe if Cooper had come earlier in the day it would have gone more smoothly, but it doesn’t matter because we got all the shots anyways! :)

Jack Ryan Sneak Peek {Atlanta Newborn Roswell Baby Photographer}

Ohhh, little Jack was SO precious. I seriously could have kept him! He is the chubbiest, prettiest little baby, and he has some of the most beautiful newborn skin I’ve ever seen! It hardly required editing!

He was great for me and really didn’t put up much of a fuss until the end. I was able to do a lot with him.

I love the gray blanket! Gray is great for boys and girls, both :)

I can’t wait to see little Jack again sometime in the future for his mini session!

Ava Sneak Peek {Atlanta Newborn Marietta Baby Photographer}

I photographed Ava’s identical twin brothers a couple years ago when they were newborns, and I was so excited when her mom contacted me while pregnant with Ava to book a newborn session!

She was born on the 4th, and isn’t her dress so cute??
Evan and Cole are ADORABLE, and it was so nice to be able to see them and see how they’ve grown. Mom has her work cut out for her with toddler twins and a newborn baby, that’s for sure! But they love their baby sister so much!

Ava is one of the cutest little girls ever! And she was such a perfect angel for me! Mom and I kept raving about the blue headband and wrap from She’s Dainty. He’s Dapper on Etsy.

Maye Anne Sneak Peek {Marietta Alpharetta Child Atlanta Photographer}

I I have been photographing sweet little Maye Anne since she was a newborn. I have enjoyed watching her grow so much!

2 years is the sweetest age, for sure. They are at the point of being able to communicate well, take direction, etc., but they are still just babies :)

Little Maye has been photographed on this bed since her newborn shoot. We have used it every time, I believe, to show the difference in her size as she grows.

The light was absolutely beautiful during her session. I definitely prefer back-lit sunny photos. It’s my style for sure, and I always aim to shoot on clear, sunny days.

I can’t wait to see little Maye again. I brought my three boys along, and she really enjoyed running and playing with them. And I can’t say that I can take credit for all of the smiles. My oldest is a big help getting little kids to smile :)

Charlotte Sneak Peek {Snellville Newborn Marietta Atlanta Photographer}

Would you believe that this baby girl’s parents are both doctors too?! Little Hayley’s (baby below) parents are both doctors, and so are Charlotte’s! And they must have the same taste as well, because little Charlotte’s mom requested to use essentially the same props as little Hayley had.

I usually do not travel for newborn sessions (unless it’s a lifestyle newborn shoot) as there is so much equipment involved, but I traveled to little Charlotte’s home because she lives very close to where I was going to be for the weekend. They had an empty room that was just perfect for the session and setting up my lighting and props.

Charlotte was AWESOME during her session. She really did just great, and she didn’t even pee or poop on me or the blankets! She got a little hungry about halfway through and went through a short snacking period, but other than that she was a treat to photograph.

Usually my parent shots are done against a cream wall, but we used a wall they had in their home, and I love the change!

I can’t wait to see little Charlotte again and hopefully watch her grow! <3
