Laurie Jean & Rose bio picture
  • Hi, and welcome to Laurie Jean & Rose. My name is Lauren, and I have been photographing newborns since 2010 in the NW Atlanta area and all over! My love affair with newborn photography began shortly after the birth of my youngest son, when I missed the window for my son’s sleepy newborn photos due to my photographer canceling on me at the last minute. Unfortunately I didn’t get any sleepy posed shots of him, but so began my interest and love for newborn photography.

    I am completely self-taught, and have photographed over 1,000 newborns over the last near decade. My goal is that you find our session an enjoyable experience, are completely relaxed, and love your newborn photos for many years to come. I prefer to focus on timeless images with simple props vs. the latest gimmick. 80’s clothes and hair, anyone? Okay, that era was actually pretty awesome, but let’s keep the baby photos fresh.

    Hope to hear from you!

    xoxo Lauren

Hayley Sneak Peek {Atlanta Newborn Marietta Baby Photographer}

Hayley is one lucky little girl. Both mom and dad are doctors, and lucky for her, because med school is what brought them together! Maybe she will follow in their footsteps! :)

Hayley was 12 days old during her photo session, and she did amazing for the most part! We didn’t get the frog pose or a bucket shot, but other than that we got all the shots! She was a HUNGRY little gal, however, and she wanted to snack frequently, but she did great.

Isn’t she SUPER CUTE?! And I swear, all of my babies smile! It’s such a treat to see that little smile and even better when I am able to capture it on camera, which has been almost every time for the past couple of months!

Heidi Maternity Sneak Peek {Sandy Springs Maternity Atlanta Newborn Photographer}

Can you say GORGEOUS FAMILY?!

Heidi’s maternity session was previously canceled due to flu symptoms, so we rescheduled for this evening. However, the forecast was not looking great. We were going to postpone the session for another week to try to get some better lighting conditions as it was supposed to be super cloudy, but dad was really wanting to try to get it done today, so we opted for morning time as the forecast looked a bit better.

I woke up bummed as the forecast still said overcast and gloomy. But it couldn’t have been more beautiful! The light was just perfect, and I am SO glad that Dad pushed to get them done today! The light was so beautiful that I’m oversharing, but I don’t think anyone will mind seeing extra photos of this gorgeous family! Can’t wait to meet their new son in 8ish weeks! <3

Sam 6 Months Sneak Peek {Decatur Atlanta Newborn Family Photographer}

Oh, sweet little Sam! It seems like just yesterday that I did Sam’s newborn pix!

Sam has two GREAT moms who just love him to pieces :) Sam was super smiley in the beginning of his session and gave us some great smiles during his 6 month session, but then he got a bit distracted when we headed over to the mountain, and he was interested in all the people running by :) So, we did some studio-style, and he smiled so much for us! We got some great shots :)

I love little Sam so much! Such a beautiful, sweet, lucky boy. I can’t wait to see him again in the fall for Christmas card pix!

Marley Jane Newborn Session Sneak Peak {Peachtree Corners Newborn Photography, Atlanta Newborn Photographer}

Sweet Marley Jane was one tough little girl to photograph! She gave me a good fight, but eventually she fell asleep and did pretty well until she wanted to eat again at the end :)

Isn’t her mom just gorgeous?! That’s one beautiful mom!

Marley has two older brothers who just love her, and of course Daddy adores her too!

We chose colors to match with her nursery decor, and mom likes bolder colors. I love the way they turned out.

Hope to see little Marley again soon!

Cameron Newborn Photography Sneak Peek {Atlanta Newborn Photographer, Jonesboro Newborn Photography, South Atlanta Photography}

Baby Cameron was so sweet and gave me a great smile! His daddy played for Notre Dame, so we just had to get this football shot. It was quite difficult, I must say, but we did it!

His parents came all the way from Jonesboro area for his newborn session. They were about two hours late (LOL), but hey, things happen. It’s tough getting out of the house with a newborn, right?!

I just love the little pants and hat made by She’s Dainty. He’s Dapper. You can find her on Etsy. :) And how sweet is that sibling shot???
