Laurie Jean & Rose bio picture
  • Hi, and welcome to Laurie Jean & Rose. My name is Lauren, and I have been photographing newborns since 2010 in the NW Atlanta area and all over! My love affair with newborn photography began shortly after the birth of my youngest son, when I missed the window for my son’s sleepy newborn photos due to my photographer canceling on me at the last minute. Unfortunately I didn’t get any sleepy posed shots of him, but so began my interest and love for newborn photography.

    I am completely self-taught, and have photographed over 1,000 newborns over the last near decade. My goal is that you find our session an enjoyable experience, are completely relaxed, and love your newborn photos for many years to come. I prefer to focus on timeless images with simple props vs. the latest gimmick. 80’s clothes and hair, anyone? Okay, that era was actually pretty awesome, but let’s keep the baby photos fresh.

    Hope to hear from you!

    xoxo Lauren

Hannah Sneak Peek {Alpharetta Child Family Photography, Atlanta Child Photographer}

I have been photographing this super cute little girl since she was in her mommy’s tummy! They have stuck with me for the past 2 years and have become friends. I love it when clients become friends! :)

I have done Hannah’s mom’s maternity photos, Hannah’s newborn photos and several other photoshoots her first year, and yesterday I got to photograph her for her 2-year pix!

The light was GORGEOUS, and Hannah did very well for me. It took some work to make her smile AND look at the camera. Her aunt Sarah had to pretend to nibble on me like a zombie. Lol! Whatever works!

Eli Sneak Peek {Moscow, Russia Newborn Baby Photographer, Atlanta Marietta Newborn Photography}

Eli’s family lives all the way in Russia, where newborn photography is nonexistent due to cultural differences and beliefs. In Russia, the baby stays in the house for 40 days, so newborn photography is out of the question. Eli’s mom really wanted newborn photography, and I am so glad she brought him to me! Such an honor to photograph this baby and his family. I am meeting back up with them soon for a family shoot outdoors, and I am so excited to give them their first outdoor family pix!

Eli was SUCH a good baby boy for his newborn session. He was just so calm, and he really didn’t give me any trouble at all. He did poop several times, though, and once all over mommy during family shots! :)

Declan Sneak Peek {Grant Park Newborn Photographer, Midtown Atlanta Newborn Photography, Atlanta Baby Newborn Photographer}

It was another long day of photographing this little guy, Declan, and his big brother, Cooper. Cooper just wanted to play cars and eat Jelly Beans and wasn’t interested in pix with Declan. It took some work, but we got some! Of course Declan is beautiful and looks like his big brother, but isn’t Cooper a gorgeous 2-year-old with that curly hair? It makes me so sad, because my oldest had really curly hair as a baby/toddler, and I can’t even really remember it anymore.

I hope I get to see little Declan and his big brother again. I’m curious to see if Declan gets his big brother’s curly hair! My oldest was the only one who had curly hair, and I wished at times that my younger two had gotten it, because it’s so beautiful on little boys!

Clay Sneak Peek {Buckhead Newborn Baby Photography Atlanta Newborn Photographer}

This baby was SO good for me! He was probably the best baby I’ve had in a very long time. He was very chill, and he just let me do whatever I wanted to with him! I took his mama’s maternity pix (I attached one for you!), and I was really excited to meet this little guy for his newborn photography session. His mom LOVED the yellow and liked some bold colors for boys, and he looked so good in them!

We also took him outside for a couple shots, though we didn’t have many places to work with without driving a bit, but we made do!

I loved working with him, and I hope to see him again!

Cooper Newborn Sneak Peek {Acworth Newborn Photographer Atlanta, Marietta Photography Newborn Baby}

WOW! Cooper’s newborn session was the most difficult one I have had to date, and I have photographed A LOT of newborns! But I still won, and we still got all the shots, except for the “frog” pose where they’re propped up on their chin. I just knew that he wasn’t going to cooperate for that, and I didn’t want to risk upsetting him for the rest of his session.

Even though Cooper made me work for it, I love the shots I got of him, and I hope to see him again in the future! I love the shot of him with his mom <3
