Alexa, 7 Days New {Atlanta, Kennesaw, Marietta Newborn Photographer}

Oh, Miss Alexa! She was SO beautiful! Her mom contacted me just a few days ago and explained that Alexa had arrived early, and she hadn’t had time to book a newborn photography session. I couldn’t say no, and so Alexa came to me today for her newborn session. She was so good! She really didn’t give me any problems during her newborn session. Alexa is the first baby for her mom, and she is so loved!

Today I got a large shipment from a prop vendor on Etsy — wishuponastR. She sent me the most amazing things. There were tons of newborn wraps and headbands and backdrops! Forget pink! She is Pretty in Purple! ;)

Dad is also a huge Patriots fan, so we got some cute shots of her with a shirt of his and a football I happened to have lying around. Can’t wait to see if he likes those. Will post more of this beauty tomorrow! This photographer is worn out! Whew!

Bourbon {Atlanta Marietta Kennesaw Pet Photographer}

I had the pleasure of photographing this sweet English Bulldog, Bourbon, with my friend. Bourbon was a sweet dog, and he was pretty hyper throughout the session, but I managed to get some good shots of him. There’s a couple of behind the scenes shots of my friend holding him in between his modeling :)

I just love the first photo. The light was gorgeous at Bourbon’s house. We even got a shot of his “older brother” Slade playing in the yard.

Hausman Family {Atlanta, Buckhead, Marietta Family Photographer}

It’s that time of year again. Fall is so beautiful for photographing kids and doing family sessions. I had the pleasure of photographing these little beauties, Ellie & Gigi. Obviously they are identical twins, and I think they look a lot like the Olsen twins! Their mom and dad run a natural pet foods business.

Ellie and Gigi are seriously some of the cutest little twins I have ever seen! We did their session in Piedmont Park in Buckhead in Atlanta. Such a gorgeous location, and the leaves are just beautiful this time of year and offer some beautiful light.

Their mom asked me for advice on what they should wear, and I actually went searching online and found some really cute things from The Children’s Place and sent her links. I love how the outfits turned out! The entire family is a perfect example of coordinating but non-matching outfits. There’s probably nothing worse than seeing family photos with nothing but white shirts and jeans. Have some fun…add some color! Pick an outfit for one family member and build the other family members’ outfits off of that. Pull colors, patterns, etc. Ellie & Gigi were perfectly dressed :)

My Own Little Monsters ;) {Kennesaw, Marietta, Atlanta Children’s Photographer}

Tested out some studio lighting with my boys today. Don’t mind the bent collars in need of ironing, btw…ha! If there’s one thing most photographers agree on, it’s that it’s darn near impossible to photograph your own kids! All three of my sons definitely have Photographer’s Child Syndrome. You’d think my oldest would be the easiest since he’s able to listen and follow directions. He is, after all, 8 years old. But, alas, that is not the case. He is very hard to photograph most of the time. He just can’t seem to give a genuine smile. He is plagued with Fake Smile Syndrome in addition to the PCS ;)

He is a little toothless right now, and I wanted to get a shot of those gums. I just love when kids lose both front teeth at the same time. There’s just something about it that takes about 2 years off of your child’s face, and they suddenly have that baby face again. He didn’t get teeth until he was over 12 months old, so naturally he is losing them later than most kids his age. Love it!

Don’t even get me started on the younger boys. They are something else! My youngest is just now getting to where he will pee in the potty, and he is 3, and he was running around in his big boy underwear today.

And don’t you just love the shot with my youngest sticking his tongue out and my middle son staring off into space? Yep. That’s what taking pix of MY boys is like. :)

They were all quite wiggly!
