Vorwig Family Sneak Peek {Smyrna, Marietta, Atlanta Family Photographer}

Wow! I had so much fun with this family. A couple of months ago a sweet woman from Maryland contacted me and told me she just had to have me take pix of her large family when she came to town at Christmastime. It was very important to her to get some photos of the entire family with her mother, and I couldn’t resist her request — even at Christmas. I could tell that the photos would be very precious to her, so I couldn’t decline and decided to make it work during the busy holiday time.

I took a billion photos of them all together to make SURE that I got everyone smiling and looking their best. I’m happy to report I only had to do 2 head swaps on the photo of the entire family together, and I couldn’t be more pleased with it. I absolutely love it, and I almost teared up editing it while listening to some of my favorite songs. Seeing this family all together and happy and knowing how much this photo will mean to all of them in the years and even decades to come really makes my job so worth it. Sometimes photography can be monotonous and very routine, and sometimes I forget that while not all clients truly value photography that most of these photos that I take will be priceless and treasured.

I decided to hold off on posting any more of the indoor family shots so that they have some surprises! But WOW…that photo of Kylie on the swing stopped me in my tracks. I couldn’t decide whether I liked it in color or black and white more. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE! So beautiful!

Samuel Sneak Peek {Buckhead, Marietta, Atlanta Newborn Photography}

What’s better than one mommy? TWO mommies! Samuel is SO loved by both of his moms. He was super adorable, and at 12 days old, he was actually very cooperative for his newborn session. But he didn’t like to uncurl his fingers, which is fairly evident in the photo of him with his moms. How cute is that? Is he flipping me off in that pic, or what? ;) He’s like, “Who is this woman handling me in my birthday suit?” I actually have some shots similar to that with his fingers in “perfect” position, but I really liked the way his moms looked in that photo best, and I didn’t noticed until I went to edit it that he was making his thoughts on being photographed naked known! I thought it was pretty cute and funny :)

All jokes aside, I just love Samuel’s beautiful skin color and how he looks on that green. So handsome. He was a fairly big boy at over 8 pounds…just how I like them! The chunkier, the better! He was a hungry little guy, though, and we did have to take quite a few feeding breaks, but I believe that was mostly due to his age and the fact that he was a 40-weeker. It seems that time babies hit 11-12 days, there’s this change that takes place and they go through a period of a week or more where all they want to do is eat constantly, making posing a bit more tricky.

So enjoyed meeting little Samuel and his awesome moms, and I hope I get to see him again soon!

Madalynn Sneak Peek {Kennesaw, Marietta, Atlanta Newborn Photographer}

Little Miss Madalynn was SO tiny. She was 5 pounds even at birth, but she lost weight as all newborns do in those first few days, and she was a little shy of her birth weight, so she wasn’t even 5 pounds at her newborn session!

I photographed her mommy’s maternity session, and I was really excited to meet her and find out her name as mom and dad kept her name a secret until birth.

Madalynn was super cute, and she was very agreeable during her session, except for the last 20 minutes or so. I was surprised at what she allowed me to do, as oftentimes babies with low birth weight are not as calm during their sessions.

Overall, Madalynn rocked her session, and I hope to see this strawberry-blonde cutie again soon! <3

Jax Sneak Peek {Cumming, Marietta, Atlanta Photographer}

Baby Jax was a joy to photograph! His parents bought some really cool stuff and hats with them that were great for the photos. Jax had great skin color…not red or yellow, so no problems editing there :)

Jax’s dad is a huge fan of car stuff, so he brought that vintage valve cover (??? I think that’s what he called it!), and I LOVE how it turned out. It really was a nice touch for Jax’s newborn photography session.

The quilt in the large bread bowl was made for Jax, so it was nice to incorporate that into his newborn session.

Can’t wait to see baby Jax again! :)

Chase Sneak Peek {Alpharetta, Marietta, Atlanta Newborn Photography}

Just look at this tiny little handsome guy! Chase was super sweet and was very at ease during his newborn session. He hardly made a peep. He was born 5 weeks early and was only 5 pounds, but he was almost 6 pounds yesterday when we did his session, so he had plumped up a bit.

Chase’s newborn session was last minute. His mommy is friends with and a co-worker of one of my most loyal clients and friends. She had been trying to get Chase’s mommy to do newborn pix and finally convinced her and gifted her the session.

Chase is so loved by his mommy, and I’m so glad I got to meet this little guy!
